  • Overview

    In this role, the Account Executive will work closely with the Sales Team Leaders to drive growth in the SourceMedia subscription business.   This position specifically entails working within the circulation business team to identify key prospects, provide product demos, generate proposals, and ultimately convert leads to sales.  This position will be responsible for generating significant new business; as well as, supporting our growing conference attendance efforts.  The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly-motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.

    Responsibilities

    Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

     

    • Prospecting for new business from web trials
    • Conduct online product demos
    • Present products and services via telephone
    • Conduct pre-call research online
    • Ensure accuracy of CRM, CMS and supporting systems
    • Closing Renewal and New business

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Meet or Exceed sales activity commitments with high quality input
    • Compile and distribute client proposals
    • Strategically target, qualify, contact, and close new business prospects
    • Coordinate resolution of credits and billing issues with Finance
    • Uncover current customer & new prospect marketing needs, develop, & present custom advertising programs
    • Attend in market network and industry events and conferences 
    • Assist with CRM data management (Salesforce.com)
    • Research relationships with accounts
    • Prospecting and discovery calls
    • Negotiate sales opportunities

    Qualifications

     

    Basic Qualifications:

     

    • Degree or entry-level experience in Sales and/or Marketing
    • Basic reporting skills 
    • Strong ability to manage large volume of out bound calls.
    • Previous business to business sales experience
    • Highly organized, ability to juggle multiple projects; detail-oriented and deadline-oriented
    • Solid interpersonal skills including oral and written communication
    • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and within a team  
    • Comfortable in a very fast-paced environment
    • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Salesforce, CMS systems

     

    Compensation:

     

    • Base Salary plus commission
