    In this role, the Delegate Sales Manager will be calling on roughly 10-15 events annually, prospecting new business, developing additional business using leads of internal customers and prospects. Additionally, incumbent will “up-sell” the conference to include: group, multiple event and workshop/special event sales.


    Specific duties include, but are not limited to:


    • Call previous attendees, clients and prospects as well as source new customers
    • Develop rapport and build relationships with customers for multiple events
    • Generate revenue through closing conference orders
    • Completion of a high-volume of outbound calls and management of an existing account base
    • Development of new accounts, servicing existing clients and networking to promote SourceMedia’s presence nationally
    • Completion of a high-volume of outbound calls and management of an existing account base
    • Attend mandatory event and conference meetings with internal conference departments as well as client/vendor meetings as needed. This may result in attending in person monthly, bi-monthly, or weekly meetings.
    • Present a coherent and strategic sales plan for all related events
    • Provide accurate weekly status reports
    • Position requires approximately 20% - 25% of travel and travel to industry tradeshows is expected
    • Work collectively and collaborate with other critical team members, ie; marketing, operations, and customer service.
    • Must have a positive working relationship with other team members
    • Actively participating in all on-site conference related requirements.  IE: Sales renewals, customer meetings, working with operations on all sales deliverables that need to be taken care of


    • A minimum of 3 years prior inside sales experience (conferences/events preferred)
    • Excellent communications/ listening skills and presentation skills
    • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and profitability targets
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting required deadlines and sales goals are essential for success in this position
    • Professional, driven and creative with strong relationship building and sales closing skills
    • Candidates who are well versed in overall business trends and possess financial services industry experience are preferred
    • Must be highly organized and able to coordinate and prioritize a high volume of projects, multiple tasks and time requirements
    • Proactive, self-starting, tenacious, goal-oriented and able to work independently and within cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Operations and Research functions
    • Must have a positive working relationship with other team members
    • Organized with excellent time management skills
    • Proficiency with Word, Excel & PowerPoint, Salesforce, etc…
